COVID-19 school screening

You must screen for COVID-19 every day before going to school. Answer the following questions to help you decide if you should or should not go to school today. You can fill this out on behalf of a student. Using this tool is optional and is not tracked or enforced. If your school board or public health unit has another screening process, you can use that instead.

Tima Kurdi visit to SAC

Sir Arthur Carty was extremely fortunate to have world renowned author, Tima Kurdi, visit us on March 12th.  Tima’s book - The Boy on the Beach - told the story of her nephew, two year old Aylan Kurdi and his family, and their efforts to come to Canada as refugees from Syria in 2015.

Carty's Spirit Award Winner

Each year, one student from each elementary and secondary school who demonstrates the qualities of the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations is invited to a special celebration to be presented with a Spirit Award.

Carty's Project Collect & Retrieve Days

One parent per family is welcome to come on specific days between June 22 and 24 to pick up student belongings, medical devices and report cards. We will also be collecting library books, textbooks and computers lent out for distance learning.

Grade 8 Graduation

Carty's Grade 8 graduation will be celebrated (with health measures in place) on Thursday, June 25th from 3:30-6:30. Please email tdavies@ldcsb.ca to arrange a timeslot that is convenient for you. For those unable to attend in person, please let us know so that other arrangements can be made.

Sir Arthur Carty Lenten Project

Lent is a time to renew our relationship with God. Prayer, fasting and almsgiving are key elements of our Lenten journey. The FIAT team is inviting everyone to participate in our Lenten project - collecting donations for Ronald McDonald House. The House is in need of toiletries, snack foods, cereal, sandwich baggies, plastic wrap etc.
